2021 has passed and our website has reached the seventh year. Under the pandemic pressure, our international business was difficult and "interesting", if I may say.
Firstly is about the Ocean Freight. Since last June, I had stopped the quotation of all CNF Middle East port as even my forwarder couldn't confirm the jumping price.
The freight is rising 2 or 3 times as before but if shipment is urgently needed, buyers would also accept 4 times higher freight. To our canned food which is only valued 10–20 thousand dollars, the confidence and motive to bear the freight became weaker. It happens that the freight to US has already well passed the value of the goods themselves.
Therefore, after last June, my quotation was mainly FOB and I leave the carrier booking issue to the customers.
Comparatively speaking, the exchanging rate of RMB against USD has appreciated 8%, to which there are less people pay attention.
In addition, there was one container of my colleague which was on the marine stuck in Suez. Luckily it was FOB otherwise we would have lost a lot.
Let's have a look at the chart: the price of our canned goods at four ports (JEBEL ALI, ADEN, JEDDAH, ASHDOD) remained stable in 2021.

1) I hope that in 2022, COVID-19 will end soon, and our work will return to normal.
2) My representative in Jordan has successfully operated for more than one year, which is a beneficial attempt.
3) New products: tomato paste, meat canned, frozen noodles and some other products are also being developed.
